Weekend Plans

This weekend is going to be crazy. Tomorrow I have my first dual meet which is directly followed by our Sadie Hawkins dance. At my school Sadies doesn’t  have a formal dress code instead we can dress up to themes by our groups. My group is doing Disney which works out perfectly in that I already have that wonderful Peter Pan number. I am so excited to dance. Most guys at the dance look forward to grinding(AKA the easiest and sleaziest dance out there). I on the other hand really enjoy dancing with out rubbing up on some girl’s rear. There are so many fun dances that I can participate in. For example: 2 step, Your a Jerk, Pop Lock and Drop it, Dougie, Bernie, and much more! Dances are awesome and even though I’m not a professional dancer I feel that if you dance with confidence people think your good, or at least in my experience. This will also be a great time to work on booty popping that I am determined to be able to do ever since that video I posted last Sunday.

After the dance, we are taking our party bus through neighborhoods with the coolest Christmas lights then we are having a party at my good friends house! They even are offering for everyone to sleep over. However for some reason my parents won’t let me even though the “co-ed” of it all really shouldn’t hurt anything since I am GAY. Oh well.

Saturday I have a practice nice and early then I get to see my friend that goes to UCLA who gets back! Following that, I get to hang out with Duke. He might be DJing at a corporate party so I might tag along. As long as I am with him I’m happy even if I have to be around a bunch of corporate people I don’t know.

Sunday, I have homework, lots of it. So I’ll do that and then I have a Xmas party to go to with a gift exchange thing that tends to be white elephant so I have this weird little spinning mobile that I’d love to get rid of.

Lastly, I don’t know if any of you readers have seen the newest Rick Perry ad but it is absolutely AWFUL. I honestly want to hear a intelligent reason why conservatives want to combine church and state. Here’s that awful ad: Oh, I guess I’ll take advantage of my readership and say DON’T VOTE PERRY. Okay here it is for real:

  1. Don’t worry; Perry doesn’t have a chance. He’s way behind even in South Carolina, and if he can’t win there he can’t win anywhere.

Your parents object to a co-ed sleepover? I laughed out loud when I read that. Parents have some funny ideas sometimes. My senior year in college, my parents raised their eyebrows at my living in a house with two women. I think I laughed at them too. 🙂

    • I didn’t really know how well off Perry was until after I posted this. Good thing he doesn’t have a chance!
I honestly still don’t know why they thought this sleepover would be all that bad. Oh well. Parents do have weird thought processes.

  2. You know who is Rick Perry’s biggest fan? George W. Bush! That’s because Bush knows that Rick Perry makes him look like a Rhodes Scholar.

Andrew, take a look at this very funny video, about 4 minutes long, called “The Defenders.” It’s by the director of the movie “You Should Meet My Son” (a very funny and touching movie – the video is included as an extra on the DVD, which is how we saw it in the first place). The video has been posted on YouTube for free viewing:

  3. Don’t even worry about, here in his home state Texas (REDNECK COUNTRY) were even appalled by this. I think he probably just ruined his chances for president. Have fun over the weekend, don’t get to drunk. 😀

Haha who am i kidding, the funnest things happen when your drunk.

  4. Perry is clearly trying to appeal to the super duper conservatives that probably aren’t very well educated. First off, not everyone in America goes to church or is Christian. Second, we all know there’s nothing wrong with being gay nor is it a lifestyle choice. Third, he’s a disgrace to the whole state of Texas.

Now you really want to know why conservatives combine church and state? Because they believe America in 2011 should be the same as America in 1776. They can’t accept change and are only out for themselves. They want the whole country to be Christianity-based and will look to excuses like “In God We Trust” on our money and “one nation under God” in the pledge to support their argument. Many of these conservatives are anti-gay marriage because of a literal interpretation of the Bible. They look at passages like “and God gave them over…”, “if one lies with mankind…”, and the like to support their bigotry. What I find most ironic about many of these conservative political figures being devout Christians like Perry is that Jesus would be considered a liberal in modern-day terms. Herman Cain said Jesus was “a perfect conservative” that was struck down by a “liberal court,” when it was actually vice versa. You’d have to be blind not to see how Jesus’ teachings fall right into place with modern liberal ideology and how the people who condemned him would be considered conservative in this age. In Cain’s case, he overlooked the symbolism and literally intertwined the Bible with modern-day conservatism in his argument. Many conservatives fail to realize that you can’t compare two different time periods for many reasons, including significant differences in societal values and upbringings.
