Swim Pic

It’s kind of blurry but I’m super picky about what I will put up this is the only one so far. This is during the 100 breast. I am very aware I look angry when I swim, sorry I can’t help it.

Hitch

Friday night was one of those nights. The kind of night where everything feels right.

Yesterday our swim team had a dual meet against an inner city team which wasn’t known to be the best, but we did well at the meet! I swam these events and got the corresponding times:

50 Butterfly 25.something

200 Individual Medley (all 4 strokes) 2.13.something (I hate this event so much it makes me feel like poop)

100 Free 54.04

100 Free(Relay) 53.96 (I broke the 54 second barrier!!)

I was quite happy with my times they were close to best times and at the beginning of the season that’s pretty good.

Something that made me even happier was Duke showed up to my meet with a few other kids from his school (one of them is dating my friend on the team). He tried to surprise me but I got a feeling when he flat out stopped texting me around the meet time. It was so nice having him there, cheering me on.

After our win at the meet, I had to go to a swimmer party for a little bit. This is the party where the varsity kids are supposed to bond with the JV swimmers which I’m pretty sure we accomplished and in the meantime Duke went to go watch some hockey while I partied. We met up after about an hour and went back to my house. This was the first time this night I was able to truly kiss him. It was magical. We have come to appreciate each other even more after our little patch of drama.

We had to do something at my house so I could cuddle with him so we grabbed the first movie we saw, Hitch, and went downstairs. If you asked me what the plot of Hitch was I couldn’t tell you. We “watched” it twice. We cuddled, kissed, gave massages and really connected in ways we haven’t in a while. We talked for hours we figured out our relationship and I really can say I appreciate him WAY more than I did before and I think the feeling is mutual. After about 12 Duke had to head home but I slept sound thanks to our wonderful night.

Today, our team competed at an invite in the middle of nowhere. We were seeded 4th and got 3rd + a plaque?( the trophy kind). Although our team didn’t really save enough energy for the meet we did ok. I swam the breast today and got a 1.05.76 which is about 5 seconds away from my goal so I need to drop some major time to be competitive for college swimming. I’ll probably do a video this week and post some swimming pictures that my mom took. Now I have to try to find plans for tonight it seems I always have plans EXCEPT on saturdays. Wish me luck! Duke and I

Earlier this week, Duke and I had a bit of an argument and some drama. I wasn’t sure what was going to come of it. We had trust issues and made some mistakes. Mostly on my part, you see, this being my first relationship I got to be too nice and would never make fun back when he made fun of me and our relationship go monotonous.

I am SO happy we had this. It brought up a lot of good points and we were able to communicate a lot of things which was great. Most of these problems seemed to stem off of my lack of relationship knowledge. Duke has taught me so much. One thing that needed to change between us was that I felt he is better than me but Duke told me that in a relationship both people are EQUAL.

That is a huge concept that is sometimes hard to practice in reality I think. It finally clicked with me this week and our relationship is stronger than ever.

I haven’t seen him in about 2 weeks so I’m excited to see him soon! He gets out of school friday and has a hell of a long break while I get out next Thursday 😦 but that means he will be available to do weird and spontaneous things with me hopefully.

Anyways hope you all had a stupendous Wolf Shirt wednesday, today I combined the preppy sweater with the wolf shirt. Instant classic.

Music Monday!! Baby it’s Cold Outside

First of all, the weather here in MN there is hardly any snow which is very atypical at this time of year. Second of all I decided that mondays will be music themed I have a bunch of goofy videos on my computer that I’ll try to share plus these don’t draw my parents’ attention. Third this person is my best friend in the world. Sorry this post is kind of dry and stuff I have school and am going through a little bit of drama right now Hopefully all works out though! Sadies

So here’s a pic as I was leaving my meet to go to Sadies. Our theme was disney and my date wanted to be Tinkerbell so it worked out well.

I really should’ve gotten a longer shirt.

Weekend Plans

This weekend is going to be crazy. Tomorrow I have my first dual meet which is directly followed by our Sadie Hawkins dance. At my school Sadies doesn’t  have a formal dress code instead we can dress up to themes by our groups. My group is doing Disney which works out perfectly in that I already have that wonderful Peter Pan number. I am so excited to dance. Most guys at the dance look forward to grinding(AKA the easiest and sleaziest dance out there). I on the other hand really enjoy dancing with out rubbing up on some girl’s rear. There are so many fun dances that I can participate in. For example: 2 step, Your a Jerk, Pop Lock and Drop it, Dougie, Bernie, and much more! Dances are awesome and even though I’m not a professional dancer I feel that if you dance with confidence people think your good, or at least in my experience. This will also be a great time to work on booty popping that I am determined to be able to do ever since that video I posted last Sunday.

After the dance, we are taking our party bus through neighborhoods with the coolest Christmas lights then we are having a party at my good friends house! They even are offering for everyone to sleep over. However for some reason my parents won’t let me even though the “co-ed” of it all really shouldn’t hurt anything since I am GAY. Oh well.

Saturday I have a practice nice and early then I get to see my friend that goes to UCLA who gets back! Following that, I get to hang out with Duke. He might be DJing at a corporate party so I might tag along. As long as I am with him I’m happy even if I have to be around a bunch of corporate people I don’t know.

Sunday, I have homework, lots of it. So I’ll do that and then I have a Xmas party to go to with a gift exchange thing that tends to be white elephant so I have this weird little spinning mobile that I’d love to get rid of.

Lastly, I don’t know if any of you readers have seen the newest Rick Perry ad but it is absolutely AWFUL. I honestly want to hear a intelligent reason why conservatives want to combine church and state. Here’s that awful ad: Oh, I guess I’ll take advantage of my readership and say DON’T VOTE PERRY. Okay here it is for real:

The Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is one of the most interesting phenomenons of the 21st centuries. Christmas has become a major part of many countries economies, it keeps them going, people are peaceful during Christmas. I think Christmas is my favorite day of the year. Christmas has so many meanings and messages. To countries that celebrate Christmas, on a economic scale, Christmas greatly increases cash flow into markets which is great for the economy. To christians, it means the birth of Jesus Christ which is monumental to religious people. To kids it means presents which are wonderful but I have changed to think Christmas is about something more. Although presents are wonderful to give and receive, I feel like there’s something more. It’s the whole spirit of Christmas that gets to everyone who celebrates it. People are nice everywhere, you get to spend time with your family and friends, you get to feel as much cheer as you are willing to let into your heart. That is a wonderful thing. I know it all sounds cliche and stuff but it takes experience to understand, no book or story can teach you. For me to let in the cheer and spirit I gave into listening to Christmas music, I found the fun in giving presents, I realized that having a family is a blessing and I should enjoy it to the best of my ability. But besides all that thematic gooey stuff about Christmas, here’s a top ten list of what Christmas means according to Andrew:

1. Peppermint EVERYTHING

2. Giving silly little gifts to your friends that gets you into laughing fits

3. Christmas morning brunch our family has for our neighbors with every pastry known to man along with the best egg dish in the world

4. The look on someone’s face when you actually surprise someone with your gift

Weekend Review

I have two test but a lot happened this weekend so I’m gonna bullet point my happenings:

• Introduced my gay friends to each other and had a major bro “sesh” telling our stories and such. I think it’s really cool having someone who can actually get you.
• Breakfast with my BFF
• Swim practices, getting closer to six pack 🙂
• Blizzard-so pretty
• Dinner with Duke
• Met up with Al to watch our good friend perform the lead in the Nutcracker with Duke 🙂
• Cuddle and movie with Duke
• Study for tests
• Worked at Latin extra credit thing
• Shopped and finished all Christmas shopping 🙂
• Hung out with Friends
• Right now I’m chatting with Duke
