Yesterday I competed in Section finals at our home pool. I qualified for finals in the 100 fly, and 100 breast. I swam the fly in a 56.4 and and my momentous swim of the 100 breast. The state qualifying time is a 1.01.95 and at prelims I swam it in a 1.03.38. At finals yesterday I swam it in a 1.01.78! I’m going to state!! I’ve never qualified individually before so it brightened up my day quite a bit. However there was a sweet and sour bit that followed my race. I hurt my shoulder, I’m not positive what happened but I can’t lift my arm above 15 degrees. And to top it off I had a cold yesterday. So although it seems pretty bleak if I go to acupuncture/ physical therapy I should be better and be able to swim better provided my shoulder feels better. But overall good day yesterday! This time really helps colleges decide whether or not they want me. (Even though most of my colleges are D3 coaches still have some weight in the admission process).
5th place 1.01.78

Wow! Congratulations, those are impressive times, Andrew! I’m pretty jealous right now, hehe. Take care of that shoulder.
Thanks!
Congratulations, Andrew! That’s really a great accomplishment! Now take it a bit easy, and get the shoulder well.
Peace ❤

BTW, great picture! You do look happy!
Jay
Thanks man!
Very awesome!
Congratulations :). In Ontario very few schools swim competitively. Side note – your eyes are very very green in this picture, I’m jealous.
Thank you! its because I’m wearing green probably.
Looked at your other photos to compare, apparently your eyes can appear many different colours lol I’m still jealous, so green. If only you could do that with blue… lol that’s my favourite colour :o).
Never underestimate the power of boosting colors on iphoto! haha but I really think eyes look different depending on lighting and what you are wearing. My eyes tend to change a bit with the seasons, I wish I could go brown personally.
Congrats Andrew! Hope you can get back to 100% soon.
That’s awesome you’ll be swimming NCAA next year, keep going!
Thank you! I sure hope thats gonna happen!
Awesome! That should give you great confidence and momentum for college even if your shoulder is a hindrance at the state meet. Here’s hoping it comes around and you end your HS career on a super-high!
Yeah this was a good boost!
